The NQ is now carrying a small selection of The M1911 Knives by Ultimate Equipment which captures the spirit of the classic firearm: Model 1911. By using military standard grips and grip screws, the knives deliver an authentic touch and feel of the legendary M1911 pistol in your hands.
Crafted in small quantities only, these are the only knives in the world that allows you to personalize your blade by simply changing grips. Aslong as standard 1911 grips are used (or Officer’s grips for the M1911 Compact Folders), your blade becomes your own unique one, different from any other’s. Making a matching gun-and-knife set is also extremely easy.
The brand new M1911 Compact Folders with 2.9 inch blades, which can be legally carried in many provinces and areas where blades of more than 3 inch cannot be carried legally. Constructed with American CPM S30V and 440C stainless steel, the M1911 Compact Folders are as solid and tough as the standard size M1911 Folding Knives. They are slightly shorter, smaller and lighter, making them perfect EDC (every-day-carry) working knives.
The M1911 Standard Folding Knives are the second generation of the original M1911 Folder. Installed on the handles are standard 1911 grips, which are interchangeable with any “Government” size 1911 grips you have.
Constructed with American CPM S30V and 440C stainless steel, the M1911 Folding Knives are one of the toughest cutting tools in the industry. Modern particle metallurgy process creates a very refined grain microstructure with evenly dispersed Vanadium Carbides allowing the steel to take a fine consistent edge that stays razor sharp for a much longer time, while remaining highly corrosion resistant.
Ultimate Equipment has also improved the innovative Hammerhead Lock (patent pending) on the M1911 knives. Being one of the most ergonomic locking mechanisms, it enables smooth one-hand operation, while at the same time providing a rock solid lock for the folding knife.
M1911 Fixed Blades It is an all-terrain utility fixed blade that takes advantage of standard M1911 grip panels and grip screws. This is a design of ultimate simplicity and toughness. Without any delicate decorative parts, the M1911 Fixed Blade is reliable and straight forward. Each blade is precision cut and machined by CNC, before being completed and polished to perfection by hand. Skillful heat treatment hardens the blade to HRC 59 – 61, ensuring a long lasting sharp edge.
Each knife comes with the following accessories: Webbing sheath with MOLLE strap system, Emergency Sharpening Stone; Magnesium Alloy Fire Starter and Hex Key for Grip Installation.
The NQ will carry all three versions and special orders can be taken for additional hand grips.
